Masoret sessions in Summer camp 2026

Camp in Ukraine: two summer sessions with Masoret

This summer, the ELI-TE curriculum came to life in two educational sessions in Zakarpattia, Ukraine:

πŸ“ 8–15 July 2026 β€” for participants aged 9–12
πŸ“ 20–28 July 2026 β€” for participants aged 13–17

Together, 218 young people took part in an engaging programme combining Jewish education, creativity, dialogue, and European values. At the end of the sessions, participants received their ELI-TE certificates.

Across both age groups, the programme explored themes including:

  • Freedom, equality, and responsibility.

  • Jewish traditions, history, and identity.

  • Diversity, inclusion, and respect for different communities.

  • Innovation and entrepreneurship for social good.

  • Tikkun Olam β€” making the world a better place.

  • Holocaust remembrance and human dignity.

One of the central ideas of the programme was that meaningful education happens through participation and dialogue. As Valeriia Koteliuk, Programme Director, reflected:

β€œNon-formal education should provide young people not only with knowledge and fun, but also with the ability to ask questions, think critically, care about others, and understand their own responsibility for the communities they are part of.”

We are grateful to everyone who helped make these sessions possible: our educators, counsellors, partners, and, most importantly, the young campers who brought their curiosity, energy, and ideas.
