camps Directors seminar 2025
december 9-11, 2025 tbilisi, georgia
The Experienced Leadership Seminar was held in Georgia on 9–11 December 2025 within the framework of the ELI-TE project. The seminar brought together 32 participants, including directors and pedagogical supervisors of camps for children and teens, representing both ELI-TE consortium partners and a wider circle of informal education camps.
The seminar program focused on practical leadership challenges and solutions relevant to informal education settings. One block was dedicated to leadership and best practices, creating a structured space for professional exchange where participants shared real cases from their work, discussed current management challenges, and jointly identified practical approaches that can be adapted to different regions and camp models. This format allowed camp directors to reflect on complex situations from the year 2025, and analyze the findings of ELI-TE pedagogical team.
Another key block addressed leadership, tolerance, and sustainability of the professional environment, highlighting the importance of ethical communication, clear boundaries, and psychological safety within teams of camp counsellors. Participants explored how leaders can respond to sensitive situations, manage tension and conflict, and support team well-being without avoiding difficult conversations. The sessions helped participants better understand their role as leaders who shape team culture and norms, and provided practical tools for incorporating ELI-TE values into their work with campers.
