The online conference addressed educator wellbeing as a prerequisite for ethical, inclusive, and sustainable work with children and youth. Through interactive lectures, reflection, and case discussions, participants explored how conscious resource management, clear professional boundaries, and team support contribute to respectful and fair educational environments. Particular attention was given to emotional labour and gendered expectations in helping professions, emphasizing equality, self‑advocacy, and mutual responsibility. By promoting resilience, supportive collaboration, and awareness of personal limits, the session reinforced values of human dignity, participation, and care as foundations of high‑quality informal education.

“I find myself drawn to the idea that today’s work culture needs to shift from a focus solely on task management to a balance between task management and people management. In today’s world, there is a growing awareness of mental well-being, burnout, and personal resources, and it is important to be able to put this into practice—both when working with a team and in relation to oneself—in order to maintain work quality, motivation, and a healthy work environment.”
